Maui Portraits

I loved meeting this family for their Maui portraits at Wahikuli Beach in Lahaina. I loved their California vibe – it matched so perfectly with the golden light of Wahikuli Beach.

Mom, Karen, mentioned to me some of the exciting things going on for them – new schools, new careers and opportunities, and I got to know the kiddos personalities during the hour I had with them.

She described their perfect weekend…. “Friday afternoon, no school or work…a glass of wine at 5, watching the sunset from our “tree house” deck, family BBQ…Soccer Saturday …Volleyball Sunday, hit the gym, walks on the trail with our dog, Slider…Date night in there for us now that we can leave the kids home alone! Ends with Sunday dinner together!”

My kids are still a bit younger than hers, but I got to thinking that the weekend she shared with me is pretty darn perfect and something I, too, aspire to. I was thankful to be on the beach at sunset with them capturing these moments for their Maui portraits.
