As I headed to Napili to drop my kids off at their grandparents, I saw the giant storm clouds approaching Kapalua. I was so nervous! I headed to the Hyatt to capture Chelsi’s preparation images and Ka’anapali was lovely and sunny! It’s always a joy to be a part of the preparation finalization because I’m fascinated with makeup and it’s always so fun to see the transformation into BRIDE.
Sure enough, it was pouring in Kapalua and we all fit into a little tent for the ceremony. Chelsi and Jack were in the greatest of spirits – Chelsi told me as long as everyone was present and happy, they just wanted to get married! Right after the ceremony, the rain stopped and dramatic storm clouds surrounded us – this is actually a favorite for me personally to photograph – I love dramatic clouds!
We headed out to the lava point and Chelsi and Jack had their moments together without anyone watching, aside from a couple paddle boarders. Her dress is amazing – I could have photographed her for hours!
A lovely dinner was served in their wedding tent among gorgeous flowers and candles as well as family and friends.
Congratulations Chelsi and Jack! XOXO
