You ever get one of those phone calls where you’re just giddy afterward? I got a phone call like that – Jayme called to ask if I was available for a last minute session.

The following day it was his parents 25th anniversary and they were headed to Mama’s Fish House to celebrate. Not only that, but his dad had a surprise ring for his mom. To put the cherry on top of what was already decked out to be a fantastic moment, Jayme let me know that he had plans to surprise his girlfriend, Whitney, by proposing to her right after.

It started right at sunset with the whole family and then I asked Gene and Theresa for some couples images. After 25 years these two are so adorable together – that moment Gene got down on his knee was perfect! I think Theresa was really surprised! Whitney came in to hug Theresa with no idea that she herself was about to be proposed to.

See below for one of my favorite images – a clueless Whitney trying to get Jayme to look at the camera while he’s reaching for his back pocket…. priceless! The look on her face was one of those moments I’ll never forget.
