Maui Vacation Photographer – Kapalua Bay – Sunset

Hector and his beautiful wife, Jessica, were visiting Maui from California. With four children, they needed a getaway and Maui was the perfect place. As mom to three myself, I am a little jealous at their vacation time! I really loved chatting with Jessica about their kids and loved hearing how relaxing this trip was for her. We all need a little refresh every now and then! (Peter…. are you hearing this?)

The light at Kapalua Bay was lovely, and as we walked along the North end, a turtle decided to pop his head out of the water as Jessica and Hector were walking along the sand. In all my 11 years of being a Maui vacation photographer, this is only the second time that has happened! Such a treat! And to close out this gorgeous sunset session, I was so thankful that they were willing to go climb out on the rocks with me. The overlook on the north end of Kapalua Bay is simply spectacular. The sun setting over the horizon was icing on the cake for this perfect session.
