It’s a challenge to write about something you’re so passionate about. I love love. I love weddings. I love photography. I love that an image is powerful. So when I was asked by Lorrie, the owner of Maui’s Angels if I would be interested in participating in this wedding, I immediately said yes.
Jill and Richard came to Maui to get married. Jill has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and with the help of Dream Foundation and some amazing Maui wedding vendors, her dream for a beach side wedding came true last Friday.
An oceanside wedding ceremony officiated by my husband, Peter, gorgeous flowers, Hawaiian music, and some tears all came together for Jill and Richard. These love birds met at a dog park and after only a year of dating, Jill was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Richard stood by her side and the two were engaged in January.
The couple was recently interviewed by The Maui News and Jill said something that will stick with me forever, “Everything in my life has been an adventure, and I just take it one day at a time.”
Thank you so much Jill and Richard for having Peter and I take part in your dream Maui wedding. It was truly an honor!
