Over five years ago a chance ‘meeting’ online led to a blossoming friendship between Josh and Yumi. He was in Denver, she was in Washington DC. Online chats turned into phone calls and plans for Josh to fly to DC. However, he told me he’s a bit of a procrastinator and before he could get his ticket Yumi had bought hers out to Denver.
Their time in Denver together let them both know that there was something very special between them and they quickly planned Josh’s visit to DC, which started out really well until he met Yumi’s dog, Honey. Honey wasn’t so sure about this new man in Yumi’s life. After a few walks with Honey, they fell into a nice routine and all it took was one more trip where they packed up all Yumi’s belongings and headed out on their first road trip together to live in Colorado.
Josh wrote me the sweetest paragraph, so I’ll include it below because I think that it’s going to make Yumi smile,
“One of my favorite things Yumi tells me is when we are out doing something new she will turn to me with a big smile on her face and say you would never to do this right? and I always say nope. We have done so many things together that never came to my mind and I love her for it.”
Their latest adventure was coming to Maui to get married! Their beautiful mid-day wedding was held at the White Orchid Beach House and coordinated by Patty of White Orchid Wedding. Congratulations Yumi and Josh!!
