This was a very special shoot for me because Christie is a fellow Austin photographer and so is her husband, Adam. Christie and I met a while back and have enjoyed chatting about our kids and our work and going out to lunch (yum!). Before Christie had her beautiful new son, she asked if I would be up for a photography trade. As a mom and photographer, I realize it is VERY hard to get family images. Well, unless we set the timer and then run for a pose… but then half the time we just get our backsides as we run from the camera… not flattering in my case. 🙂
Anyway, I was very happy to oblige and to meet the new arrival, adorable Arlo and his big brother, Zander.
I was a little nervous, because being in the presence of two other photographers brings to mind many insecurities, “Oh my gosh… what if they think my posing is weird?” “Do they do this differently than me?” “What if they hate it?” But they are both so fun and down to the earth that our session was seamless and great.
Here’s your sneak Christie and Adam!
A little brotherly love.
A family outtake that was just too cute to cut.
The real deal. 🙂
Big boys still need their snuggles from mom!
Family feet make me smile.
A moment with dad.
Thanks you guys for an awesome shoot!!
XO,
Mariah
