South Austin Bluebonnets and Wildflowers by Austin Photographer Mariah Milan

I was worried we wouldn’t have an amazing bluebonnet season this year. Rain was far and few between over the winter and so far Spring is incredibly dry in South Austin. Yet still some rogue bluebonnets are popping up around town. They are pretty sparse.

If you’re a fan of my Photography by Mariah Milan Facebook Fan Page, you’ve seen a snippet of images from my search for bluebonnets to take portraits of my own Littles. We found a sweet, sweet field of them in South Austin. The bluebonnet field was absolutely dreamy and perfect.

We then headed to our neighborhood park where the Mexican Poppy’s are blooming in abundance. The afternoon light was absolutely gorgeous. The afternoon was totally perfect.

If you’re looking for a bluebonnet session, book soon! I’m headed out of town next weekend for a San Francisco wedding and who knows how long the bluebonnets will stick around!
