What an absolutely perfect session to end 2012 with! Kelly and Curtis eloped three years ago and we decided to get together for a session at Makena Cove and Big Beach. Ominous clouds lingered over Makena and were almost purple in color. Makena Cove and Big Beach’s waters were an amazing tone of aqua. The light on this morning was spectacular. And making it even better were Kelly and Curtis, who in emails told me they were adventurous and fun.
We had a ball having the beaches practically to ourselves. They were up for all my ideas and at the end asked if they could climb the cliff. YES! They carefully climbed to the top and while I’m sure the view was awesome from up there, it was super great for me to capture these images of them up on the cliff surrounded by aqua water on one of the most beautiful Maui mornings of 2012.
Sadly, the perfection had to be cut a little short as we all realized that our shoes were stolen when we were headed back to the walkway – that’s the first time in 10 years my slippers have been stolen! Thank you Kelly and Curtis for such a great end to 2012!!
