When I arrived at DT Fleming Beach on Rachel and Brooks’ wedding day, I was floored. These two are gorgeous. And they requested the images to remain private. I always want to respect my clients wishes for privacy, but my insides churned as this was indeed a beautiful Maui elopement I wanted to share so badly.
The wedding itself was simple and beautiful. Rachel and Brooks wanted a wedding ceremony for just the two of them to celebrate their 7 years together and affirm their love and vows with only myself and the minister as witness. The overcast sky lent a watercolor like palette to the afternoon that went so perfectly with Rachel’s dress and flowers. After the ceremony, we played on the sand before deciding to climb the rocks (and Rachel was a rockstar climbing the cliff in her wedding dress) and we got the most amazing end to their wedding day atop the cliffs overlooking DT Fleming Beach.
It was one of those simple weddings that took my breath away. I went home and told my husband how beautiful it was. When the images were done, I got an email from Rachel, “WOW!! WE LOOOOOOOVVEEEEE them!! You are an amazing and talented artist who made us look so beautiful 🙂 I had no idea you took half of all the photos that you did….you are sneaky and quick! haha. The only thing I regret is not getting a photograph of the two of us with YOU in it.” And a note that I could share images…
And my heart filled to the brim. I am so happy I get to share these images of these two love birds. It was definitely a beautiful day to bare witness to.
