Maui Pregnancy Photography: I’m going to be an Aunty!

I have two beautiful sister-in-laws. Really I’m quite lucky that each of my brothers have found women that are incredibly strong, supportive, lovely, and I’m so glad to call them ‘sister’.

My brother Nico and his wife Abra are expecting their first baby any day now. I’m going to be an Aunty! Nico and I have always been close. We’re only two years apart and we shared a room forever. We’ve basically been best friends from the moment he was born. My youngest son, Cruz Nico, bears his name because I wanted Cruz to have a middle name that was from someone that I love so much. Nico is going to be an amazing dad. Like seriously amazing. This baby boy has no idea the fun he’s in for.

For their pregnancy session we headed to Old Maui High and the now very dilapidated Hamakuapoko Sugar Mill ruins. This is a special place for me, I think I’ve mentioned it before. I have a fondness for all things old with stories to tell. This was special because in a place that has been in ruins for so long, there is new life forming everywhere in the form of nature.

Congratulations Nico and Abra! Love you both so much and can’t wait to meet our newest family member!
