Maui Photographers

Kimberly emailed me for a last minute family session before they left the island headed back for the Pacific NorthWest. I’m so glad I had an evening available because I just had a feeling about this session. Just from the way she described her family and her love for them I knew this was going to be fantastic.

As I prepared to leave the house my kids asked which beach I was headed to. “Baby Beach” I told them, which was immediately followed, “OOOH! We wanna come!” and so we all piled in the car and headed for Lahaina. My kids are really good about keeping their distance from my sessions, but I am so glad that they were there for this one. We ended up waist deep in the water and my kids were behind me splashing and making the kids laugh and smile. It truly was a family operation that night!

After we all got out of the water, the dad’s were drying the kids and Kimberly and I chatted until the light was completely gone. It was so wonderful to make such a profound connection with her and her family. I love moments like this – it makes everything I do tangible.
