This was one seriously sweet wedding. First off, shout out to my husband for the referral. He and the bride met when he was working at Mama’s Fish House. Sara is super sweet and I was really stoked when she asked me to be her wedding photographer.
Chad had surprised Sara by sending her on a scavenger hunt on Christmas Day last year, which resulted in a proposal in the forest of Makawao. Super romantic! They planned their beautiful October wedding with so many awesome Maui elements, including local plate lunch style food, Upcountry succulents, Origami cranes, and Maui’s famous Guri-Guri.
Their ceremony was held at the Kahili Golf Course in Waikapu and reception at the Yokouchi Estate in Wailuku. This vintage estate was a photography oasis – great architecture and character! Sara and Chad honeymooned on Kauai and Oahu, and as usual, the vacation passed quickly!
Huge congratulations Sara and Chad! Thank you for having Peter and I photograph your wedding day – it was really special for us! XOXO
