Yes, yes, I know what you’re thinking… I’m a work-a-holic. It’s New Year’s Eve. Truth be told, my husband Peter is a valet/bellman at Andaz Wailea (which is fabulous, by the way) and he’s working until the wee hours of the morning so I’m home with the Littles who are crazy people if they stay up later than 9pm. So I have a date with my computer to ring in the New Year. Which is fine. Really!
This session really had me giggling. These adorable kids are right at the age where they’re on the cusp of being “tweens”. That age I need to dig into my bag of tricks to make them have a great time. Once I let them know it was ok to laugh at mom and dad, I got the smiles I wanted. That’s the joy of having a session on the beach – getting your toes wet? YES! climbing a little on some rocks? YES! Hugging your sister? YES – wait… that one took a bit more convincing and bribing but we pulled it off with some help from mom. The colors for this shoot are a dream – a bit of a watercolored golden sky, a bit of a dramatic sunset – a total photographers dream. And the family? Well they were a dream too – so much fun! It was great meeting you all!
