A World of Good, One Session At A Time…

This project was born out of my desire to help wherever I can. Yes, I am just one person. No, I am not made of money. I am however, a firm believer that every little bit helps.

I am fortunate enough to call Maui home. It is an expensive, crazy beautiful place to live and raise a family. And while visitors visit, they don’t see what lies below the surface – some of the hardships that islanders face. With those needs in mind, with every session that I photograph, I put away a bit on the side to help someone who needs it. I try to stick to small organizations and even donate specifically to an individual when it’s necessary. I humbly thank you for choosing me as your Maui photographer. By choosing me as your photographer, you are not just helping to support my family, you are helping someone else in need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Organizations that benefit from donations by Photography by Mariah Milan are:

Maui Pitbull Rescue – in honor of one of the most amazing dogs I have ever known, Kupono. This amazing organization takes in abandoned and hurt dogs and rehabilitates them.

Hospice Maui – providing care to Maui’s terminally ill.

East Maui Animal Refuge – A sanctuary for injured and orphaned animals.

Feed My Sheep Maui – a mobile food distribution program to feed Maui’s hungry.

Leilani Farm Sanctuary – A sanctuary for animals in Haiku

Maui Humane Society – Helping Maui’s orphaned animals

Individual donations have been made to help fund medical transport, medical relocation, and needed surgeries.

Individual donations are based on need (ie: money is needed for medical transport and/or relocation). Photo sessions are also donated to silent auctions throughout the year to help aid in medical costs.
