Maui Lifestyle Session

When I’m going to photograph the baby of first time parents, I am always a little nervous… “Will they let me touch the baby? Move the baby?” or “Oh, you’d like to nap while I photograph your baby? Well… ok, go take a rest.” — really when it comes to first time parents I’ve had every extreme when it comes to the babies (which is fine… all parents are different!). But when Danielle emailed me that she wanted a session for her 3 month old, Rhys, and it turned out they live literally walking distance from me in Makawao AND they wanted a session to capture this time in their lives – not just posed baby pictures – I knew that this was going to be awesome. But little did I know it was even more than awesome.

First, let me gush about Danielle and Cory. They are awesome parents. First timers who are so IN THE MOMENT with their little guy – so in love with him. It was a treat for me to capture this. Baby Rhys is in for a great childhood – AND I walked outta this session with new friends, which is great. Second, baby Rhys was a doll – such a sweet little guy!
