Newborn sessions are so different than most of my other sessions. They are quiet and warm. We had the windows closed and the sun shining through the curtained windows for the perfect soft light. All the adults were hot, but baby was comfy in her birthday suit. At the end, big brother Landon came in for some baby snuggles. And to top it all off, I didn’t get peed on – which is usually what happens to me during Maui Baby sessions.

When to reserve your Maui Baby photo session

I often get asked when the right time for a newborn session is… and I am often called too late. Once baby is a week old, it’s already too late. They change so much in that first week – they learn to enjoy stretching and don’t curl up and sleep as they do when they’re brand new. The best time to reserve the session is according to mommy’s due date – and then to adjust once baby arrives. Unlike typical photo sessions, newborn maui baby sessions can take place mid-day to make for easier scheduling.
