On July 25th I had a very full day – I ended up all over this beautiful island and met so many wonderful people. Rather than breaking this up into three separate posts, I thought I’d share my day with you all. And before I do, I just wanted to note that the last week of July was one of the busiest ever. It was so wonderful meeting so many couples and families. I am very blessed in the job that I do and am so grateful for all my clients, family, and friends who support this little business of mine. You are appreciated.
My day in a nutshell:
Starting out at home in Makawao I headed down to Paia to meet up with a really sweet family with three boys!
Not only were there three boys, but they are all little (bless their mother!). I thought my life with two toddler boys was hard…. Sara… you’re a saint! This special session was to celebrate the boys and their grandparents with a special session.
A portion of this session was donated to The Maui Food Bank
The next shoot of the day had me headed to the Garden of Eden arboretum almost half way to Hana town. Aimee and Keith wanted a relaxed wedding in a gorgeous location. They got both! I arrived to find that the Garden of Eden does not accept debit cards – only cash – for admission and the fabulous Rev. Keith Pagan rescued me. Keith and Aimee’s ceremony was extremely heartfelt, hilarious, and full of so much love and realness that I had tears and was totally bummed I didn’t wear waterproof mascara (or wear sunscreen but that’s a different story). Congratulations you two… it was a blast meeting you!
A portion of this wedding was donated to Hospice Maui.
My last shoot of the day was in Kapalua at DT Fleming Beach where I met up with this awesome family. I’m convinced that mom could be a double for Kelly Preston. The whole family was so much fun and we got a beautiful sunset. Just couldn’t have been better!
A portion of this session was donated to The Maui Humane Society.
Thank you for taking this trip around the island with me. It was so wonderful to be out and about all day doing what I love!
